Understanding the Job List

The Job List is where you view and manage job postings in BerniePortal Recruiting. Unfinished job posts are automatically saved as drafts.

Access the Job List

You can open the Job List if you are:
Hiring Managers and Hiring Influencers only see jobs they are assigned to.
  1. Sign in to BerniePortal.
  2. In the top navigation, select Recruiting.
  3. In the secondary navigation, select Job List.
The page has two tabs: Published/Closed and Drafts (N).

Published/Closed

This tab lists Published and Closed jobs together.

ColumnWhat it shows
StatusPublished (live and accepting applications) or Closed (inactive; not accepting new applications)
Job TitleOpens that job’s candidate list
Date PublishedWhen the job went live
Total ApplicantsUnique candidates who applied to the job
Active ApplicantsUnique candidates still under consideration. A NEW badge appears when there are applications that have not been viewed yet
MessagesOpens job message threads; shows an unread-count badge when applicable
ActionsStatus- and role-dependent controls (see below)

Columns except Messages and Actions are sortable.

Actions for Published jobs
  • View Live — Opens the job’s custom sharing link in a new tab
  • Mark As Closed — Available to employers, Recruiting Feature Admins, and the job’s Hiring Manager. See How to Close Jobs
  • Edit Job — Opens the job for editing. See How to Edit an Existing Job
  • Clone — Creates a draft copy of the job (documents, questions, stages, and hiring team) and opens the copy in the job wizard
  • JobTarget — Available to employers and Recruiting Feature Admins when JobTarget is set up for the job. See BerniePortal + JobTarget: Getting Started
Actions for Closed jobs
  • Clone — Same as for Published jobs
  • Delete — Available to employers, Recruiting Feature Admins, and the job’s Hiring Manager. Confirming delete cannot be undone from the Job List
Empty state: No open or closed jobs.

Drafts

This tab lists unfinished jobs. The tab label shows the draft count (for example, Drafts (2)).

Actions for drafts
  • Publish — Shown only when progress is Ready to publish!
  • Edit Job — Opens the draft in the job wizard
  • Delete — Removes the draft. Confirming delete cannot be undone from the Job List
Empty state: No Drafts.
