Signing-up for 1095-B/1095-C E-Filing with the IRS

Sign up so BerniePortal can e-file your 1094/1095 forms with the IRS and mail copies to your employees. You will not be charged until your forms are finalized and submitted.

Who can sign up

Employers, Global Admins, and Feature Admins with 1094/1095 access can complete e-filing signup for their employer.

Sign up from Home
  1. Go to Home.
  2. On the Get Ready for Tax Filing Season section, click Sign up for e-filing.
  3. On Signature (Step 1 of 2), review What You're Authorizing, sign in the Signature box, then click Sign & Proceed to Payment.
  4. On Payment Method (Step 2 of 2), under Choose Payment Method, select ACH Bank Transfer (Recommended) or Credit Card.
  5. If you are entering new bank details, complete Bank Account Details (Banking Institution, Account Holder Name, Routing Number, and Account Number). If you are entering a new card, complete Credit Card Details and Billing Address.
  6. Click Submit & Begin E-Filing.
  7. On the confirmation screen, click Continue Filing to keep working on your forms.
By signing, you agree to the Order Form. If BerniePortal already has payment details on file, you can use your stored ACH or credit card instead of entering new information.

After you sign up

Signup authorizes BerniePortal to file and mail your forms. Next, complete the filing workflow:

You can also open the same signup flow from 1094/1095:
  • On the e-filing selection screen, click Continue with E-Filing.
  • On the subgroups or Forms page, click Sign Up for e-filing on the Save Time by E-Filing Through BerniePortal section.
