What are the two types of carrier messages?

Carrier messages in the Carrier Exchange Manage tab have one of two severity types: Failure or Warning. Use the severity type to decide which messages to address first.

Failure messages

Failure messages are critical issues that block a member's enrollment. Address these messages first to help ensure successful enrollment.

Warning messages

Warning messages identify potential issues that do not currently block enrollment. Resolve them to help prevent future problems.

Prioritize messages in Manage

In the Carrier Exchange Manage tab, use the Severity Type filter to show Failure or Warning messages. Review Failure messages before Warning messages.

For steps to address a message, see How do I resolve carrier messages?.
