How to Edit Completed Onboarding Documents - Admin

Once an employee completes assigned onboarding documents in BerniePortal, the employee cannot edit these documents unless unlocked by an admin as a safeguard in BerniePortal. For example, if an employee would like to make changes to their direct deposit information, the admin would need to complete a “Request Edit” for that specific document. 


To allow onboarding document edits:

  1. Select the "Employees" tab in the top navigation menu.
  2. Locate and select the employee's name.
  3. Select the “Onboarding” tab from the quaternary navigation menu, then select the “Current Documents” tab. 

  4. Hover over the action gear for the document that requires an edit, then select “Request Edit”.

  5. The employee will move to the “Onboarding” status and can login to BerniePortal, make the appropriate changes, and re-submit the document.
