How to Edit Completed Onboarding Documents - Admin

BerniePortal includes built-in security measures that prevent employees from modifying completed onboarding documents—but you have the power to unlock them when changes are needed! Whether an employee needs to update their W-4 information or correct other details, you can easily grant editing access with just a few clicks!

To access: 
  1. Select the "Employees" tab in the top navigation menu
  2. Locate and select the employee's name from the Employee List


To allow onboarding document edits:
  1. Select the “Onboarding” tab from within the Employee Profile, then select the “Current Documents” tab
  2. Hover over the action gear for the document requiring changes and select “Request Edit”

  3. The employee's status will automatically change to "Onboarding" in the Employee list,  allowing them to log in, make their updates, and resubmit the document
