How to Assign/Un-Assign Onboarding Paperwork

Employers and Onboarding feature admins can assign and remove incomplete onboarding documents for an active employee when the employer's Onboarding feature is enabled.

To access:
  1. Select Employees in the top navigation menu
  2. Hover over the action gear for the employee and select Manage onboarding paperwork
You can also open Manage onboarding paperwork from the action gear on the employee's profile.

To add documents:
  1. Select ADD PAPERWORK
  2. For each document category you want to assign, select a template from the dropdown (leave None to skip that category)
  3. Optional: select Download PDF Preview for a selected template
  4. Select Submit
If the modal shows No more documents available to add, every available category is already assigned for that employee, or the employee does not have an onboarding hire record yet.

Custom onboarding documents can only be assigned within 30 days of the employee's hire date.

To unlock a completed document so the employee can edit and resubmit it, see How to Edit Completed Onboarding Documents - Admin.

To remove documents:
  1. Select REMOVE PAPERWORK
  2. For each Incomplete document you want to remove, hover over the action gear and select Remove, then confirm
  3. Select SAVE CHANGES
Completed documents cannot be removed. After you use Request edit on a completed document, its status becomes Incomplete and Remove becomes available here. See How to Edit Completed Onboarding Documents - Admin.
