Onboarding Document Categories

Say goodbye to endless paperwork! BerniePortal comes pre-loaded with five essential onboarding documents: W-4, W-9, I-9, State Withholding, and Direct Deposit forms.

Beyond these standard documents, you can create custom onboarding categories to organize and store any additional documents your organization requires!

To access: 
  1. Log in to BerniePortal as the employer or a Onboarding feature administrator
  2. Select “Onboarding” in the top navigation menu
  3. Select “Settings” in the secondary menu
  4. Select “Document Categories” in the left-hand menu


To create a new category:
  1. Enter your category name in the "Add a Category" field and click "Add"

  2. Reorder categories by selecting the three dots next to any category name

  3. Edit or delete existing custom categories by hovering over the action gear icon
