Creating a COBRA Subgroup
- Create a NEW subgroup OR
- CLONE an existing subgroup (this option is more popular because it eliminates the step to add plans to the Current Offer.)
- Click "Current Offer" or "Upcoming Offer" in the left panel (depending on if your account is preparing for open enrollment or not)
- Make sure all COBRA eligible plans are attached to the Offer. This is most commonly only Health, Dental, and Vision benefit types.
- Click SAVE at the bottom in the Offer area.
- Next, return to the "Configure" page in the left panel.
- Change the subgroup name to "COBRA"
- Input the FEIN number
- Select the "This is a COBRA subgroup" checkbox.
- Select the "2% Admin Fee" checkbox
- Click SAVE at the bottom.
