Trash Can

Deleted items such as employees, plans, subgroups, and certain personnel file documents move to the Recycle Bin (trash icon) instead of being removed immediately. Open it to review items and restore them before they expire.

Who can open the Recycle Bin

Employers can open the Recycle Bin and restore items. Global Admins working as the employer can as well. Feature Admins do not have access to the Recycle Bin.

To restore an item:
  1. Select the trash icon in the top right of the navigation.
  2. Find the item in the list. Columns include TIME UNTIL DELETION, TYPE, NAME, RELATED EMPLOYEE, and ACTIONS.
  3. Open the cog menu for that row.
  4. Select Restore.
  5. Confirm when asked to restore the item.
Most items remain available for 30 days. TIME UNTIL DELETION shows the days remaining. For subgroups, TIME UNTIL DELETION shows N/A. If the Recycle Bin has no items, you see: Recycle bin is empty.

Other ways to open the Recycle Bin

If your account uses the left navigation rail, select More, then select Recycle Bin.

Deleting a plan or a benefits subgroup also sends those items here. See How to Delete a Plan and Deleting Benefit Subgroups.
