Preloaded Employees

Preloaded Employees

This article contains a few snapshots of the Preloaded Employee feature that allows you to upload benefit elections via employee spreadsheet. Let’s review the user interface for Preloaded Employees.

NOTE:
  1. Open Enrollment must be CLOSED before uploading preloaded employees.
  2. Input election history for ALL employees that you would like to show as “Preloaded” status: Enrollees and Waivers
  3. Input election history for ALL THREE COLUMNS per benefit type: Plan Name, Coverage Tier, AND Per Pay Period Deduction
  4. Preloaded benefits via spreadsheet are DISPLAY ONLY. This does not enroll employees into plans in BerniePortal.
  5. Attached to this article below is a sample census of what a final product would look like.

Employer User Interface

  1.  View uploaded benefit information in employee profil

  2. Generate a report that captures all “preloaded” data

  3. Employees can view their benefit elections on their homepage and under their Benefits tab

Other Example Scenarios:

  1. When a preloaded employee is opened for a qualifying event, their status will change from “PRELOADED” to “Awaiting Elections.” Upon completion of enrollment, the status will change to “ENROLLED” and the employee will no longer appear on the Preloaded Employees Report.
  2. When an employee is terminated, the broker will receive an email with a termination pdf. Terminated employees will no longer appear on the Preloaded Employees Report
