Agency Guided Onboarding for New Broker Partners - Step by Step Instructions
Ready to set up your agency with BerniePortal? The guided agency setup experience will help you set up your organization quicker while also customizing BerniePortal for your business.
The setup process is designed as a checklist to easily track your progress. Have to run to a meeting halfway through? No problem! Your checklist will save as you go.
Follow the step by step instructions below to get started.
- Access the email you received from BerniePortal titled “Welcome to BerniePortal!”
- Select “Activate” and you’ll be re-directed to BerniePortal where you can create a password for your account.
- Select “Create my Account”
- You will be redirected to the BerniePortal Setup landing page. Please select “Begin Setup”
Getting Started
- As you move through the setup checklist, select “Continue Setup” to move to the next step

Add a Logo
- Add a personal touch by uploading your agency’s logo that employees will see when they login

- Upload a logo either by dragging and dropping the logo within the drag and drop area or by clicking on “click to browse”
Add a Broker
- Add a broker by inputting their first and last name along with an email address

- The broker you add will receive an email to activate their BerniePortal account
Add a Service Team Member
- Add a service team member by inputting their first and last name along with an email address

- The service team member you add will receive an email to activate their BerniePortal account
Configuring Email Notifications
- Customize when BerniePortal notifies your brokers and service team members by selecting each action you want them to be emailed about
- The broker or service team members receiving these notifications can also be managed within the account area

Checkout
- Choose whether you want to pay via ACH or credit card
- For ACH payment, input the account holder’s name, the banking institution, routing number and account number

- For credit card, the name on card, the card number, expiration date, security code, and the billing information will need to be input

- After choosing the payment method, indicate that you have read and understood the agreement by signing below

Scheduling the Implementation Call
- After completing the “Checkout” step, you will be taken to schedule your call with your account manager.
- Use the calendar to book the day and time to meet with your account manager

- After selecting the time, input your name and email address
