Spousal Surcharge - Benefits

Turn this setting on to charge employees additional costs to cover a spouse who already has access to health insurance through his/her own employer. Then, when configuring “Benefits” subgroups, you’ll have an opportunity to indicate the additional charge amount if employees indicate when they’re enrolling that their spouse has access to coverage through their own employer.

To adjust spousal surcharge settings:
  1. Select the "Benefits" tab in the top navigation bar. 
  2. Select the "Settings" tab in the secondary navigation bar. 
  3. Select "General" from the left side menu.



Once toggled to "Yes", configure the surcharge amount for each Benefits subgroup in the subgroup's configure area. Learn more here.
