To update an employee's salary:
- You will first need to ensure that your payroll subgroups are configured.
- If they have not yet been configured, you will not be able to make an employee's compensation adjustment.
- Select the "Employees" tab in the top navigation menu.
- Find the employee's name and hover over their action gear.
- Select "Compensation Adjustment."
- Enter the new salary amount (per year or per hour).
- Enter the pay period you would like this salary change to go into affect, then select "Save."
You have the ability to override compensation adjustments within a pay period if you have made a mistake.
Follow steps 1-6 and click on the same pay period.
Hit "override"
You can also process a single salary adjustment by following the below steps:
Navigate to the “Employees” tab in the top navigation menu.
Find and select on the employee’s name.
Select “Payroll” from the employee's menu.
Select "Add New Adjustment."
Enter the new salary amount (per year or per hour), then the pay period you would like the salary change to go into affect.
Select "Save."
To view a history of salary updates:
- Navigate to the “Employees” tab in the top navigation menu.
- Find and select on the employee’s name.
- Select “Payroll” from the employee's menu.
- Current and historical salary information is housed in this area.
