How to Hire and Onboard a Candidate via Recruiting

Complete your recruitment success by efficiently transitioning chosen candidates from applicant status to active employees—all within BerniePortal's integrated platform.

To access: 
  1. Log in to BerniePortal as the employer or a Recruiting feature administrator
  2. Select “Recruiting” in the top navigation menu
  3. Locate candidates using either method:
    1. Job-Specific View: Select the relevant job from "Job List" to see all applicants for that position
    2. All Candidates View: Access the "Candidates" menu to see applicants across all jobs 


To hire a candidate:
  1. Select the candidate’s name to open their Candidate profile and view their application(s) 

  2. Select “Hire” as the final Hiring Stage

  3. Select "Hire Candidate" in the confirmation pop-up window to proceed

  4. Select the updated "Onboarding" hiring stage that appears after confirmation

  5. Complete the onboarding modal to- 
    1. Finalize the new hire’s employment details
    2. Transfer the candidate to the Employee list 
    3. Trigger automatic activation email for their Employee Profile
  6. Once the onboarding modal is completed, the candidate will display in the “Employees” listing under the “Onboarding” status.

Note: The ability to hire and onboard candidates is reserved for:
  1. Employer Global administrators
  2. Recruiting feature administrators
This ensures proper oversight and control over final hiring decisions and employee system access.
