What is the Audit Log tab used for?

The Audit Log tab serves as a complete historical record of all activities within the Carrier Exchange. It documents every integration change and message resolution, creating a permanent digital paper trail of all actions taken across your account.

Primary Purpose

The Audit Log allows you to view the complete history of:

  • Integration activations
  • Integration deactivations
  • Carrier message resolutions

Key Information Tracked

For each event recorded in the Audit Log, you can see:

User Information Which specific user (by name) was responsible for the action. This shows accountability for who activated integrations, who disabled them, and who resolved specific messages.

Event Type What type of action occurred, such as:

  • Carrier Integration Turned On
  • Carrier Integration Turned Off
  • Resolved Message (with the specific issue type)
  • Plan Integration Pending
  • Plan Integration Active

Associated Details

  • Which carrier the event relates to
  • Which employer is affected
  • Which employee is involved (when applicable for message resolutions)
  • Date and time the event occurred
  • IP address of the user who performed the action

Resolution Details For resolved messages, you can see exactly what was selected to resolve the error, providing a complete record of how discrepancies were addressed.

Filtering Capabilities

The Audit Log includes filtering options to help you find specific information:

  • Event Type - View only activations, deactivations, or specific types of resolutions
  • Carrier - See all events related to a particular carrier
  • Employer - View activity for a specific employer
  • User - Filter by which team member performed actions
  • Date - Search by specific dates or date ranges

Why the Audit Log is Valuable

Accountability and Transparency Since multiple users (agency, broker, and STM levels) have access to the Carrier Exchange, the Audit Log ensures you always know who performed what actions and when. This is especially important when multiple team members are working with the same employers.

Eliminates Email Searches In the past, you might have needed to search through email threads with carriers to find when a specific enrollment change was communicated. The Audit Log keeps everything in one centralized location, saving time and eliminating frustration.

Compliance and Documentation The permanent record serves as documentation for compliance purposes and provides a clear trail of all carrier-related activities.

Troubleshooting When issues arise, you can review the Audit Log to see exactly what happened, when it happened, and who was involved. This makes it much easier to identify and resolve problems.

Employer Resolutions Since employers can also resolve messages, the Audit Log helps you track when they've taken action versus when your team has handled issues.

The Audit Log creates a comprehensive, searchable history that brings order to carrier integration management and ensures nothing gets lost in the shuffle of daily operations.
