What Are 1:1's and How to Submit Agendas & Recaps - Admin

A 1:1 is a messaging thread between an employee and their manager in Performance. Use it to share agendas, meeting notes, and ongoing feedback in one place.

Employees assigned to a Performance subgroup (with Performance enabled) can open Performance. Employees with a manager can post on My 1:1. Managers can post on My Team's 1:1s for their direct reports. Employers and Feature Admins can review threads but cannot post—see Viewing Employee 1:1's - Admins & Viewers. Employees must be in a Performance subgroup to use Performance; see Performance Subgroups.

To post a message with a direct report:
  1. Select Performance in the top navigation menu.
  2. Select 1:1 in the secondary navigation menu.
  3. Select My Team's 1:1s in the left-hand menu.
  4. In the Report column, select the employee's name.
  5. Enter your message in the text box and select POST.
To post a message with your manager:
  1. Select Performance in the top navigation menu.
  2. Select 1:1 in the secondary navigation menu.
  3. Select My 1:1 in the left-hand menu.
  4. Enter your message in the text box and select POST.
If you have a manager and no messages yet, the thread shows Begin your 1:1 agenda by typing a message below. Posted messages stay in the thread with the sender's name and date and time. Messages cannot be edited or deleted after you post them. Older messages load with LOAD PREVIOUS MESSAGES when available.

Avatars in the top right of a 1:1 thread show people who can review that thread (labeled (Viewer), (Feature Admin), or (Global Admin) on hover). To manage who can view 1:1 threads, see Visibility Settings - Performance.
