Viewing and Editing a Subgroup's Number of Pay Periods

Each "Benefits" subgroup in BerniePortal has a set number of Pay Periods. Learn how to view and update the number of Deductions/Pay Periods below.

To view a subgroup's number of Pay Periods:
  1. Select the "Benefits" tab in the top navigation menu.
  2. Select the "Subgroups" tab in the secondary navigation menu.

  3. Select the name of the subgroup for which you'd like to view the number of Pay Periods.
  4. BerniePortal will navigate to the selected subgroup's "Configure" area, which will display the number of Deductions/Pay Periods.

  5. Use the dropdown menu if you would like to edit the number of Deductions/Pay Periods, then select "Save Changes."
Note: Changing the number of Deductions/Pay Periods will update that subgroup's deduction calculations for any benefits included in Current and Upcoming Offer.
  1. If you edit the number of Deductions/Pay Periods on the "Configure" tab, you will need to adjust the deductions for all benefits in Current and Upcoming Offer, then save the subgroup.
  2. If employees have already enrolled in the Current Offer plans, they will need to re-elect their benefits in order to update their deductions based on the updated number of pay periods.
