Enrollment Windows

Auto-close enrollment if an employee does not elect benefits within a specified number of days of a new employee's hire date or an existing employee being "unlocked" for a qualifying event or correct mistake.

Please note that this feature is not triggered for new hires unless the account is activated within the enrollment window period. (Ex. If the hire date is January 1 and the enrollment window is set to 30 days, the employee's account must be activated by January 31 for the feature to auto-close that employee). If the employee's account is activated after the enrollment window period, their enrollment will not be auto-closed.

BerniePortal will send two reminders to the employer and the employee before the Enrollment Window closes: Five (5) days before the enrollment is auto-closed and one (1) day before the enrollment is auto-closed.
