How to Override PTO Approvals

If an employee would like to cancel a time off request that has already been approved, the request will need to be rescinded by an admin or the employee’s PTO approver.

  1. Login to BerniePortal.
  2. Select “PTO” in the top navigation menu.
  3. Select “Other Employees” in the secondary navigation menu.
  4. Under the “Employees” section, select the employee’s name for whom you need to cancel approved time off.
  5. The employee’s PTO module will display. Select “Approved.”
  6. Hover over the action wheel for the request you would like to cancel. Then select “Rescind.”
  7. The time off request will now display as “Canceled,” and the employee’s PTO balance will adjust accordingly.
