The IMPORTANT DATES panel on Home lists employee birthdays and work anniversaries coming up in the next 30 days. Employers and Feature Admins see this panel automatically—there is nothing to turn on or configure.
To access:
- Log in to BerniePortal as an Employer or Feature Admin.
- Select Home in the top navigation.
- Locate the IMPORTANT DATES panel on the page.
What you see:
- Birthdays — Each row shows the employee’s name and birthday (for example, JUN 05). If none fall in the next 30 days, the list shows There are no birthdays in the next 30 days.
- Work Anniversaries — Each row shows the employee’s name with years of service and the anniversary date (for example, 2 YEARS - JUN 05). If none fall in the next 30 days, the list shows There are no work anniversaries in the next 30 days.
Who appears on the lists:
- Birthdays includes active employees with a birthday on file whose birthday falls within the next 30 days. Test employees are excluded.
- Work Anniversaries includes active employees in a Benefits subgroup that is not a COBRA subgroup, hired in a prior calendar year, whose hire anniversary falls within the next 30 days. Test employees are excluded.
