How to Reconsider a Candidate
Sometimes the perfect candidate comes along after you've filled a position, or you realize a previously declined applicant deserves another look. BerniePortal's reconsider feature ensures great talent doesn't slip away permanently!
To access:
- Select “Recruiting” in the top navigation menu
- Locate candidates using either method:
- Job-Specific View: Select the relevant job from "Job List" to see all applicants for that position
- All Candidates View: Access the "Candidates" menu to see applicants across all jobs
To reconsider a candidate:
- Find the candidate with "Declined" status in your candidate listing
- Hover over the candidate's action wheel and Select "Reconsider" from the dropdown menu
- The candidate's application automatically returns to the exact hiring stage they were in before being declined—no manual adjustment needed!
