How to Process Manual Time Edits

Employers and Time Approvers can manually edit or add employee time punches on an employee timesheet—for example, to correct a missed punch. Manual edits create an Audit Log entry. To approve or deny employee-submitted edit requests instead, see How to Approve & Deny Time Edits.

To access (employer):
  1. Go to Employees in the top navigation.
  2. Open the employee’s profile.
  3. Select the Time tab.
  4. On the Timesheets tab, select a Date Range to open that week’s timesheet.
To access (Time Approver):
  1. From the Home page, find the IN AND OUT BOARD.
  2. Select the employee’s name to open their timesheet.
  3. Use the period dropdown above the timesheet to select the week to edit.
To edit existing punches:
  1. In the Actions column for the date, open the gear menu and select Edit Time.
  2. Update the In and/or Out values using the format MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM/PM.
  3. If a Project column appears, update the project as needed.
  4. Select Save.
To add punches:
  1. In the Actions column for the date, open the gear menu and select Add Time.
  2. Enter the new time using the format MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM/PM. BerniePortal fills In or Out based on whether that day already has an open punch.
  3. If a Project column appears, select the project as needed.
  4. Select Save.

Note: If a date has a pending employee edit request, the Actions menu shows Approve and Deny instead of Edit Time and Add Time. Saving a manual edit on a punch also denies any pending edit requests for that punch.
