How to Process Manual Time Edits

Global Admins and Time Approvers can manually adjust employee time entries when necessary, such as correcting missed punches or updating project assignments after timesheet submission!

To access: 
  1. As the Global Administrator
    1. Log in to BerniePortal as the employer
    2. Navigate to the "Employees" tab in the top menu
    3. Locate and select the desired employee's name to open their profile
    4. Select the "Time" tab within the Employee Profile
    5. Select the desired “Date Range” to view timesheet details

  2. As a Time Approver
    1. Log in to BerniePortal as a Time Approver
    2. From the Home page, select the desired employee from the “In and Out Board” 

    3. Use the date range dropdown (top right) to select the timesheet period


To process manual time edits:
  1. Edit Time (existing punches)
    1. Hover over the action wheel for the time punch requiring changes and select “Edit Time”

    2. Modify the time entries using the required format- MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM/PM
    3. Update the Project assignment if needed
    4. Click Save to confirm changes
  2. Add Time (new punches)
    1. Hover over the action wheel for the day requiring additional information and select “Add Time”

    2. Enter the new time using the required format- MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM/PM
    3. Select the appropriate Project if applicable
    4. The system will automatically determine punch type (In/Out) based on the most recent entry
    5. Click Save to finalize the new entry

Note: Manual edits create an audit trail for compliance purposes
