How quickly do resolved messages sync to the carrier?

Resolved messages sync to the carrier during the carrier's next scheduled sync. The timing is not immediate and varies by carrier.

Understanding the Sync Process

When you resolve a message in the Manage tab:

  1. Your resolution is recorded in BerniePortal immediately
  2. The corrected information is queued to be sent to the carrier
  3. The data transmits to the carrier during their next scheduled sync
  4. The carrier processes the update according to their internal timeline

Timeline Varies by Carrier

Because each carrier has its own sync schedule, the time between resolution and carrier receipt can range from:

  • Hours - If the carrier syncs daily and you resolve shortly before their next sync
  • Days - If the carrier syncs weekly and you just missed their most recent sync
  • Variable - Depending on the specific carrier's sync frequency (daily, multiple times per week, weekly, etc.)

What This Means Practically

Not Instantaneous Even though the Carrier Exchange uses API technology, updates don't reach carriers immediately. There's always a delay between when you click "resolve" and when the carrier receives the corrected information.

Check Last Sync The Last Sync indicator in the Manage tab shows when each carrier most recently synchronized. This helps you estimate when they might sync again and receive your resolution.

Message Removal Once the carrier syncs and processes your resolution, the message should disappear from the Manage tab (assuming it was resolved correctly). If the message reappears after a sync, it may indicate the resolution was incorrect or the carrier identified additional issues.

No Way to Expedite

You cannot manually trigger a sync or speed up the process. Sync timing is controlled entirely by each carrier's technical infrastructure and schedule.
