How do I access the Carrier Exchange in BerniePortal?

Accessing the Carrier Exchange is straightforward once you log into your BerniePortal account.

Locating the Carrier Exchange Tab

When you log into BerniePortal, you'll see a tab labeled Carrier Exchange in your primary navigation bar at the top of the screen. This tab appears alongside other main navigation options like Home, Reports, Benefits, Onboarding, and Employer List.

Default Landing Page

When you click on the Carrier Exchange tab, you'll automatically land on the Configure secondary navigation tab. This is the starting point where you can initiate the process of turning on carrier integrations for your employers.

Secondary Navigation

From the Configure tab, you'll see the secondary navigation bar that allows you to move between the four main sections of the Carrier Exchange:

  • Configure - Set up and manage integration toggles
  • Pending - View integrations that are not yet active
  • Manage - Review and resolve carrier messages
  • Audit Log - View historical activity and resolutions

Access Requirements

To see the Carrier Exchange tab in your navigation, you must be logged in at the agency, broker, or service team member (STM) level. The specific employers you can view within the Carrier Exchange will depend on your user permissions and which employers you have access to manage.

If you don't see the Carrier Exchange tab in your navigation, contact your BerniePortal Account Manager for assistance with access.
