"Full-time Employee Count" and "Total Employee Count" error (1095-C Error Only)
This IRS e-filing error occurs when Enter Full-time Employee Count (B) and Total Employee Count (C) columns values manually. is selected on the 1094-C form, but Full-Time and Total employee counts are missing for the months that must be filed.
Employers with Benefits, and Feature Admins who administer 1095, can open 1094/1095 to fix the counts.
To correct this error:
- Sign in to the employer account in BerniePortal.
- Click 1094/1095.
- On 1094-C Subgroups, open the subgroup you need to correct by clicking its name in the Subgroup Name column, or open the row Actions menu and choose Edit.
- Scroll to Part III. ALE Member Information - Monthly, then do one of the following:
- Clear Enter Full-time Employee Count (B) and Total Employee Count (C) columns values manually. so BerniePortal calculates (b) Full-Time Employee Count for ALE Member and (c) Total Employee Count for ALE Member from the employees on this 1094-C subgroup.
- Leave that checkbox selected and enter values for each month you file, or enter values on the All 12 Months row, in (b) Full-Time Employee Count for ALE Member and (c) Total Employee Count for ALE Member.
- Under 1094-C Form. Additional Configuration, select Corrected Form.
- Click Save configuration.
- Repeat for each 1094-C subgroup that needs the same fix.
