What are Time Approvers and How to Assign Them

Time Approvers have the ability to review timesheets and approve/deny time edit requests for the employees they are assigned to. They can also make manual edits to employee timesheets when needed.

Example: If Richard is Terrance's manager, Richard can be added as Terrance's Time Approver. This allows Richard to review Terrance's timesheet, make manual adjustments to the timesheet when needed, and approve any time edits submitted by Terrance. 

To access: 
  1. Log in to BerniePortal as the employer
  2. Select “Employees” in the top navigation menu
  3. Locate the desired employee, and select their name to open the employee profile

To assign Time Approvers Individually:
  1. Within the employee’s profile, select “Time” from the menu
  2. Click “Approvers”
  3. Begin to enter the name of the new Time Approver in the search field- Select the name when it appears in the dropdown menu, then click “Add”



Managing Approvers: 
  1. Multiple Time Approvers can be added per employee
  2. Time Approvers can be removed by hovering over the action wheel next to their name and selecting “Remove”



Note: Global Administrators have the ability to assign Time approvers en masse as well. Learn more here
