How to Change Employee Passwords
Employees have two options for changing their BerniePortal password, depending on whether or not they know their current password.
If the employee knows their current password:
- From the employee's account, select the "Account" dropdown in the top right corner.
- Select "Change Password" in the employee's profile.
- Enter the new password and select "Save Changes".
If the employee does not know their current password:
- Navigate to benieportal.com/login
- Select "Forgot Password" and enter the email address associated with the account.
- The employee will receive a password change email to the email address associated with the account.
The global admin for an employer account can also change an employee's password on their behalf via the "Masquerade" feature.
- Select the "Employees" tab in the top navigation menu.
- Locate the employee, and hover over their action wheel on the right.
- Select "Masquerade" then select "Okay" to log in to the employee's BerniePortal account.
- Select the "Account" dropdown in the top right corner.
- Select "Change Password" in the employee's profile.
- Enter the new password and select "Save Changes".
- This new password should be provided to the employee to login to their BerniePortal account.
