Billing Rules

Need to know when your bill is due, or how adjustments are calculated? Check out the “Review Billing Rules” area. Each carrier has its own billing rules housed directly in BerniePortal, viewable at any time. 


The “Billing Rules” area outlines:

  1. The bill due date. 
  2. When the bill is available to be generated. 
  3. Rules for situations such as new hires, terminations, or age changes and how they are processed on the bill. 


To access the “Billing Rules” area:

  1. Select the "BernieBill" tab in the top navigation menu.
  2. Under the “Current Bills” area, select “Review Billing Rules.”

  4. Scroll through the “Billing Rules” modal to learn more about each carrier’s billing rules. 
  5. ​
  6. If your employer uses multiple carriers via BernieBill, each carrier tab will house its own set of “Billing Rules.”
