Applicant Tracking Templates
Recruiting “Templates” make it easy for Hiring Managers and Hiring Influencers to increase efficiency and contact candidates with consistent communication and information.
When messaging candidates via the Recruiting feature, custom templates can be selected from the “Message Templates” menu. For example, if the next steps in the hiring process are the same for each candidate, templates are a great way to ensure each candidate receives the same information.
To access:
- Log in to BerniePortal as the employer or a Recruiting feature administrator
- Select “Recruiting” in the top navigation menu
- Select “Settings” in the secondary menu
- Select “Message Templates” in the left hand menu
To create a new template:
- Select “Add New Template”
- Enter a Title for the custom template- This will be the title of the email that candidates receive
- Enter the body of the template in the “Text” field
- Use the “Insert” tool to program BerniePortal to pre-fill your template with data such as “Candidate First Name” when sending a custom template, based on the candidate you are emailing
- Don’t forget to select “Save!”
- Existing templates can be edited or deleted by hovering over the action wheel next to the template.
