For many of our clients I've found it beneficial to populate the mass update template with some detail from the all data report for them to review/update prior to open enrollment. 

In this way they catch any new hires/terminations/status changes they may have missed as well as giving them a chance to update the salaries before we too far into the process.

It won't let me upload the excel example so I'll copy the headers I set for my populated version below.

I remove the SSN (remembering to add it back before I upload), I customize the orange headers to clarify or capture the details. Usually there's just a few adjustments, which are easily done manually. If I'm uploading the update I match back to the SSN to ensure the correct employee is updated.
