When employees are in "Onboarding" or "Awaiting Elections," there is nothing that prevents them for making their elections after they have missed their eligibility window. We have many employees that elect coverage months after they were eligible and this causes many problems with insurance carriers, many times leading to manual exceptions with large back premiums that are owed. Certain times these exceptions don't always get approved and then employees get upset because they thought they had coverage. If BerniePortal could automatically lock out employees from making elections after they have missed their enrollment window, this would be a HUGE enhancement!
